Hi all! My name is Ilyrian, most people call me ily or echo. I'm a 24-year-old college student for linguistics and I live in the great wild PNW. I have one cat and I'm now down to one fish. Cat's name is Junebug and she's absolutely the light of my life. Fish's name is Cryius and he's a blue and red half-moon male beta fish. I like drawing, music, and writing. Pretty much anything that is an outward expression of self and creativity.

I do play a handful of video games. Sims has a tendency to take over my life at any given moment but since I just have my laptop to play it on, sometimes it's a bit difficult. I play mostly fps or story-based games. I'm not super into mmo games. That being said, my favourite game of all time has got to be the second Mass Effect game. I love all the ME games but there's something about the storyline of the second that I just love so much. I also really like most of the Assassins Creed games, Dragon Age, Skyrim, and Fable. Anything with a good storyline really. I also play some phone games like Survival and the Arcana.

I have been writing stories since I was about 14 but those were self-fulfillment pieces of fanfiction for the most part. (We've all been there don't judge). I started seriously rp-ing about a year later, first in private messages across a menagerie of sites until I settled on Gaia. I was introduced to Gaia by another friend where I then met Candi and Dao. I mostly focus on 1x1's but the second either of those two open up a group rp you better believe your biscuits I'm going to be on that.

Genres I like: Pretty much everything. You got a story and you want a character for it? I can whip one up in an hour or so.

Genres I don't like: Not a fan of 'old west' stories. Slices of life aren't my favourite but I might pop into one or two.

I work odd hours so I'll do my best to keep on top of things here. If you have any questions for me, don't hesitate to ask!

Ho-leeeeeeee shite we just became best friends. Mass Effect 2 is my favorite game of all time as well! You've definitely joined the right place, if only for that. I will gush about that game anytime, anywhere.

I haven't played The Sims in years but I when I played it regularly I could get sucked into it for hours upon hours upon hours. Definitely a fantastic time waster.

Absolutely stoked that you've joined us!

@Nevermind
Yay! More best friends! Especially best friends that like ME2 that I can scream at about. I'm glad to be here. Thanks Candi.

@Nyctibius
I haven't really felt the urge to play them really. You're the second person to mention them to me in about a week so I might look into one, got any bias towards any of the Red Dead games?

West coast, best coast my dude.

Red Dead Redemption and its sequel, Red Dead Redemption II, are both extremely good games. Strictly speaking, and admittedly somewhat confusingly, 2 serves as a prequel to the first game, but if you can get into the first one enough to play it then I would recommend just doing them in order. The only reason I recommend them is because I wasn't terrifically into western as a genre either, until I picked those games up. Whatever else they do wrong, Rockstar makes an amazing single player experience.

Are there crumpets with the tea? Hi!! I'm Kiwi! Welcome to Umbra.

@Kiwi
mmmm I've never had crumpets before but I can whip up a batch of those tasty little cucumber sandwiches if you'd like. Or some scones. Thankies, glad to be here.
