Propositioning Positivity and Pride!

Hey there there lovelies!

@Merra and Rei here - some of your local assistants, here to spread the good vibes. As you are no doubt aware - things are hectic in the world right now. It's easy for us to glance and see the bad, but we all use Umbra as an outlet - as a place for creativity and adventure.

To keep that train rolling - this month we wanted to push forward the idea of Pride - not only because June is Pride month (though that is an important point to remember) - but because we want to take some time to spread positivity amongst all our lovely members.

So, we would love to have a back and forth this month on what - and who - brings you joy on Umbra. What makes you proud to be a member of this forum? Share the positivity! Who makes your day? What makes your time here positive? We want to hear from you.

If you're not sure how to start out - here are some ideas:

• Compliment a writing partner.
• Share a story you've enjoyed from someone else.
• Mention a member you haven't spoken to, but admire.
• Discuss your own growth.

Feel free to '@' members as you compliment them. Who doesn't like being surprised with some positivity in their alerts?

The art that @Merra has been sharing with us in the discord for the site not only blows me away, but has inspired me to do a little bit of doodling on my own - nothing of substance yet. But I was anxious about drawing before because I thought I 'wasn't good enough' so I never tried it. Thanks to Merra for helping me wriggle out of my art shell! <3

I'd like to compliment my ever patient writing partner @imperius for sticking with me and our scene, even with at times longer breaks between replies. Your writing inspires me to write better, and your characters give me literal chills, they are so real!

Secondly, the positivity that people like @ReireitheSmileFaerie and @SunshineKitti bring to our Discord server while keeping it real. And that's just few of the many who have made this time so much more easier for me personally. Keep being awesome.

Each of you brings a wonderful, beautiful, glorious flair that aids in making Umbra special. You go along with all my crazy ideas and make them better, and for that I cannot be more grateful. @Somniac - I'm constantly amazed at how intelligent, talented, and hilarious you are. Seriously. Stop it. (Please don't stop.)

@ThreeHeartsAndThreeLions - You're a wonderful friend, and you've shared and opened up to me in a way I absolutely cherish (plus you give me the best art just sayin').

@Sunshine Kitti - Girl, you're glorious and shine brighter than the sun and I can't wait to see what you do with Fantastic. I'm so honored to have you as a friend and writing partner.

Actually, All of you, I had a wonderful time yesterday. In general, I might not have stayed since my request thread isn't getting any hits, but it's been this discord full of all of you amazing people that made me want to give this place more of a chance than I would have normally.

@ReireitheSmileFaerie Goodness, it is so hard to come up with something to say to you. Like not in a bad way, just... You have been this incredible help in so many ways since we met. I'm so glad I met you, and I hope we could write together or be friends someday!
