    Hi lovelies!!!

It's your local smile faerie here! I hope you're having a great day!

I just finished watching the Addams family movie and just wanted to talk about how excited I was for it and also how happy it made me!

It handles so much in regards to conformity but it also covers some not so obvious things regarding hegemonic masculinity.

That means a fuckton to me and I highly recommend it.

What are some of your favorite movies or scenes that have a particularly deep or interesting scene/moment that really impact you? Or just movies you really like!

Lookin' forward to seeing what y'all talk about!

The fiancé and I are planning on seeing Malefacent 2 and I'm excited for that.

In terms of favorite movies, it's hard to say. I've got a lot. I have a special place in my heart for movies like The Breakfast Club, The Princess Bride, and Heathers. But I also like movies like Chicago (musical) and Sweeney Todd as a go to.

Then there's Emperor's New Groove, Moana, Nightmare Before Christmas.

uhhh... I had a period of time where Donnie Darko was my favorite.

The Godfather saga is in there. So are the Daniel Craig Bond movies. Ughhh I need to think lmao

The Princess Bride will definitely forever hold a special place in my heart, as it was my father in law's favorite movie. When he passed, we actually had a bunch of his Princess Bride merch on display, mostly stuff we bought him over the years, like a coloring book, playing cards, and a limited edition DVD of it.

Another movie that will always be impactful is Frozen. As goddamn annoying as it is at this point, it was the movie I saw with my now husband on our first date, so you can be assured we will make our kids watch it. It's also just a good movie despite all the awful branding and how we literally can't get away from it. Fun fact: our first date was supposed to be a double date with my friend and hub's brother at The Hobbit, but they pulled a fast one on us and we instead ended up going to Frozen while they went to The Hobbit. It was fun still, so no complaints.

Lord of the Rings is literally my favorite literary and film franchise. More the films than the books, just because I grew up with the movies and I find the books a little hard to read. I have all three OG extended DVD sets that came out in the early 2000s and I intend to keep them forever. They are my treasures. I think I started watching the movies when I was about 10. I just love them so much.

Other movies part of me are of course the Disney movies I grew up watching, mainly Robin Hood, Mulan, The Little Mermaid, and Lion King. Mulan is still probably the closest thing to a favorite movie I have. LotR is great and is my favorite franchise, but you gotta sit down and WATCH those. Mulan is easier to digest, so I just like to hang out and pull it up on my phone sometimes.
