Right, so before we begin I'd like to clarify that I abhor introduction threads. While trying to avoid getting off too sidetracked; it'd be sufficient enough to say they've always felt hollow and stressful to me as I write them. Lacking better terms it seems as if they create a need to falsely manufacture; creativity, wit, humor or some combination of the three. Perhaps not making liars of us, but forcing us to perform and give quasi-false impressions of who we are, what we value. Though I feel as though I've gotten away with myself. I only wish to properly illustrate for you a caveat as to my introduction proper as it will be relatively short.

I already said that I don't much care for introductions, but to keep it short; I'm RustyFable and have been role-playing for about seven and a half years across various sites under various usernames though RustyFable is the handle I've decided to keep. You can call me Rus though.

I'm sorry if this seems a bit abrasive but I really prefer to get to know people in a more one on one setting rather than an intro thread. Having said that I'll be posting a Request Thread in a few days so if you are interested please take a look when I do. If you'd like to talk to me about a role-play now though, please feel free to message me as I'm always interested in trading ideas or even just helping someone brainstorm their own.

I find it fascinating that although you detest Introduction Threads so vehemently, you've managed to create one that is more effective at conveying yourself as a person than most.

Out of genuine curiosity, why create an introduction thread at all if you abhor them? Why not just go straight into making an RT and move forward into your RPs from there? You're by no means required to have one, so why make one if you find them so disingenuous? Not trying to be sassy, mind you, I really am just curious as the contradictory nature of this post is just the best thing.

Anyways, regardless of all that, happy to have you! It's always fun to encounter new writers who value their craft. We have a small community here but they're dedicated and we have a number of great writers. Hopefully you'll be able to connect with them and develop some excellent stories.

An astute question, one I'm afraid I can't articulate an effective answer for.

That's absolutely fair. Sometimes why we do the things we do ellude us. I oftentimes ask myself why I do... at least like 67% of all the things.

I have narrowed it down to a crippling fear of failure and daddy issues.

Oh, and maybe cheese?

I'm done being silly, I promise.

Can't wait to see your RT! You give me the impression that you're very thorough with your stories.

We can naught but feel the hands of fate as they guide us to the choices. They cannot make the choice, merely the delivery of the decider.

Thank you I appreciate that, I don't know why but matters of literature have always come naturally to me. I've come to pick up something of an affinity for old books. I'd also invite you to keep your eyes open for my request thread, I can make my story pitches rather... enticing.
