Zan shook his head in an attempt to move his long hair out of his eyes and hefted his bag up onto his shoulder as he glanced around the courtyard area of the college campus. He had known that the American college would be immense, but nothing had prepared him for the crowd of students in line in front of him. He was pretty sure that by the time he finally got into the main building; all the classes he needed to sign up for would be gone. It rather irked him that his father had taken so long to get him to the campus. If they had left on time, Zan would have been one of the first in line. The man was a constant irritation, not to mention high handed and judgemental. Zan was just glad that he'd gotten into the college on his own merit, and didn't have to depend on his father's money anymore. He had a job lined up, as well as a dorm room and a scholarship that should pay for all his school books. Once he'd circumvented the long lines; managing to get most of his needed classes, save for getting stuck with Spanish as his language course, he headed to the administration office to see about his assigned dorm room. "You will be in Dorm house 4, Room C 12. Your roommate has already checked in and started to move in. Oh, just a reminder; you are stuck with your roommate for the first semester. It's one of our rules. We want you and all our overseas transfers to learn how to get along and deal with your differences on your own. Have a nice day, Mr. Yong," The gray-haired bespeckled older woman said cheerily as she handed over a map, a guide book along with a packet of other items. "Thank you," Zan replied taking the papers and bowed his head slightly before he turned and left the office building. It took him several long moments to figure out the map, as well as a few directions from other students before he finally found his Dorm house and then Room C 12. He pulled the key out of the packet he'd been given and unlocked the door and slid inside. He couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the mess around the room and let out a long sigh. There were boxes of clothes in one corner, shoes scattered over the floor, along with a mess of gadgets on top of the desk in the corner of the room. For a room that was around 120 square feet, it was almost too much. Not to mention it was totally screwing with Zan's OCD. His left eyebrow began to twitch as his mouth turned downwards into a displeased frown. "Well..someone sure is a slob," He griped as he slid his backpack off his shoulders and tried to think of where he should put his things. Finally, he sighed and pulled his hidden wand out and used a charm to move all the other's belongings onto the top bunk bed, which was already made up with lines. Zan knew he'd have to be careful using magic around muggles, especially since he was going to be on his own at the university. None of his former Hogwarts' friends had understood at all when he'd announced he was going to go to a muggle college after graduating. He had been planning out his life since before he'd found out he'd had magic. Going to Hogwarts hadn't really been a plan, but he'd adapted and done his best. Now he was back to the dream of becoming a renowned scientist. He wasn't going to let anything get in his way of succeeding, not this time. In the process of moving the clothes, a bra had fallen out onto the floor. Zan's face flushed as he moved to pick it up with the end of his wand and eyed it closely. He glanced at the clothing, not really wanting to rifle through them to find out if his roommate was a young woman. He settled on looking through the shoes after he'd discarded the bra and covered it up with one of the bright shirts. "Well..that's not what I expected." He muttered with another sigh and began to unpack his belongings from his bag. He was quite pleased that his shrinking spell and extension charm had worked so well. Not that he'd brought a ton of things with him. A more comfortable desk chair, lamp, and linens were brought out, along with several organized boxes with his clothing and other personal items. Once he had finished, Zan moved to organize his small desk, setting out his supplies where he could easily access them and then sat, waiting for his roommate to show up.
