I thought it would be fun to share some of our favorite media with each other. Looking for web series, funny shorts... things of that nature. Flagging the thread as NSFW for swearing and such but let's try to keep it relatively clean, hm?

I'll start!

Viva La Dirt League is one of my favorite youtube channels. They have several different series, Epic NPC Man and Bored (Playtech) the best of them (in my humble opinion).

Have a taste of the awesome:

And...now it's your turn to share!

I like watching Cinnamontoastken, Eleanor Neale (she does true crime) and Repzion ( I think he sheds light on topics that need addressed).

Red vs Blue remains one of my favorite things ever. It started off as goofy Halo humor . . . but trust me, it becomes one of the best sci-fi stories I've ever witnessed. And you don't have to know anything about Halo to enjoy it; the Halo lore is barely mentioned. Once you start getting into the freelancer project stuff and the AIs . . . just . . . pure gold. Plus the humor remains consistent, even with the more serious elements. I'd seriously put it on par, story telling wise, with Firefly and Mass Effect.

Major spoilers, but here's some proof:

If you don't want so many spoilers and just want to enjoy some fun animation, great action scenes, and some trademark goofiness (Jeezy creezy, is this really 10 years old!?!):

BTW: these are the same folks who made RWBY.

I remember watching the first couple RvB seasons back in 2004-ish. I thought they were hilarious. "You shot Church, you team-killing fucktard!"
They manage to keep the humor . . . with lots a callbacks (I don't want to spoil the EPIC puma payoff) but the storytelling and animation really step up in later seasons. They even get Elijah Wood as a voice actor at one point.

Ah, I love Red versus Blue. Haven't kept up with it (no fault of of the series, I have the memory of a goldfish), so thanks for bringing it up: brb while I binge watch a few seasons~

Here's another gem... I present to you: The Legend of Neil!

The first web series in which I fell in love:

That takes me back. Now it's got me singing "Do you wanna date my avatar?" again. Heh.

Also singing Tom Cardy's Perception Check on repeat. DND themed and hilarious, especially if you like Cardy. Not sure if I should link it because he curses a lot in it and the implied events might be questionable with the rules here.

I had never seen this before, what a gem~ You'd be okay to link it in the thread, the NSFW tag has us covered. (Pretty sure the Legend of Neil I posted has even less savory themes, aha.)

"Do you wanna date my avatar?" is an amazing song~ I absolutely love Felicia Day so much

I know I've posted this somewhere before - probably in one of the "What are you listening to?" threads - but I'd hate for anyone to miss out on the awesome.
