Personally speaking, I think Umbra has some of the best-looking medals out of any of the sites that do that kind of thing. I think they're colorful, relatively dynamic, and that I manage to pack a lot into a small space with each one I do.
At the same time every single restaurant Gordon Ramsay visits thinks that their food is top-tier incredible until they set something like this down in front of him and he grimaces and pokes it and mutters 'there's no fucking seasoning, this is depressing', and makes some kind of witty on-the-spot pun to the waiter that he definitely didn't write beforehand after he actually tried the food the first time and then re-filmed it to get the most crowd-pleasing reaction.
The point is that I want some honest feedback here.
Do you know something about graphic design? If so, what am I doing wrong? Is the inconsistency of my graphic style something that bothers you? Are the medals just not as good-looking as I think they are? Are the colors just plain old fuckin' weird?
I'm not looking for an ego boost here, and I can see how it might be easy to think I am. The truth is that I just want to hone my skill. Honest, helpful criticism is (at least in my opinion) one of the best ways around for someone to grow their ability in something, be it writing, art, or just making little 45x45 medals. So if you have a problem with how I make 'em, tell me! Don't hold back your opinion at all.
Boy I hope this doesn't come across the wrong way.
